Search the discount sites (we did!), and you’re likely to find rates as low as $200/night — inexpensive for midtown East — at this historic hotel (whose guest roster once included Elvis, himself). William Randolph Hearst commissioned this four star hotel for his mistress, the actress Marion Davies, and he didn’t skimp. Regular room rates are much higher, so book in advance and shop the travel deal sites.
